President’s Corner

Welcome to a New Year! I am so excited for my upcoming term as your ISES Denver President. Having been an active member of our chapter over the last several years I truly appreciate the significance of this step for me. I have watched our chapter grow and change over the years and predict this will be one of the best years yet.
We are all lucky to be a part of an industry with such creative people and, more specifically, to be part of a supportive and welcoming community of event professionals here in Denver.
I have attended numerous leadership conferences where we share ideas with other ISES chapters and get a sense of where the industry is headed as a whole. Denver is a model city and we are distinguished among our fellow ISES chapters for having such a cooperative community that embraces fellow professionals rather than the super-competitive situation other ISES members encounter in their markets.
This brings me to my main objective for this year: to create and foster an even greater sense of community and cooperation within our local community. I want each and every member of ISES Denver to feel like they are part of something special and important.
I look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming monthly meetings and encourage you all to get more involved. We can always use more creative minds and helping hands to take our chapter to the next level.
I have high hopes for a fantastic year and with your help we will be able to make ISES Denver the best group of event professionals this city has to offer!
